Researching different media institutions

Researching different media institutions
Media intuition is a large chain an organisation which is branched into different companies. For example the variety of mass media contains radio, movies, television, magazines and internet (social media). The larger the company is the larger impact it would have on the audience such as, influencing their mind-set, interests and attitude.

The first Q magazine was published by the media group called ‘EMAP’ media group in October 1986. Q magazine is UK’s commonly known for the music charts which seem to attract younger generation of the consumers. It is also UK’s biggest selling magazine monthly due to the fact that Q magazine covers various genres which leads to wider target audience.

BBC music magazine is part of the synergy and one of this includes music magazine. BBC music magazine is published monthly which associates with the immediate Media company limited under publishing house industry. One of the elements that created the Immediate is BBC music magazine; the first magazine was published in June, 1992 and 1993 in North America. When looking at the target audience based on the jazz and classic music genre I would say the target audience would be around over 40.

NME is a music magazine, which is owned by the Time INC, along with that IPC media is a subsidiary company of time Inc. It was created in 1950s. IPC media contains three divisions of publishing targeted at men which suggests that the NME target audience is also for men at around 20-30. The magazine is published weekly by IPC.
